Static on FM only, any fix

Have s320 cdi, yesterday was changing FM stations and static appeared. it is on almost every channel apart from radio 2 or 4

It still finds new stations as I drive along the motorway, but they are just static

all other frequencies are fine AM MW and SW

is there a fuse that cover the fm antenna, or any other fix to try, I checked all fuses in rear SAM and they are fine

Not sure wether there would be a fuse but you can do a test with Xentry: go into the sub-menu 'tuner' and check how your antenna performs.

I had this once. Here is what fixed it for me: A total reboot of the COMAND system. Press and hold the "eject button" on the CD/DVD changer until the system reboots. When mine finished rebooting, the static was gone completely. Hope this works for you as well.

For me, the static was in every source: FM, SAT, iPod, etc. Sorry that didn't work. What is Xentry?
