Ipod adapter works with any bluetooth reciever for streaming music
I can't speak for the facelift w221 but my 08 works fine. I went through a bunch of thread and it seems a lot of you had issues with powering on the BT receiver to stream music through your ipod connector. I tested 4 different adapters and they all work. The key is to turn on your engine to get power to the Ipod connector.
The 4 I tested range between $20-$25 and the ones that sounded best IMO is this one here.

I had my S in for service and they gave me a GLK as a loaner. That little turd has full on streaming Bluetooth audio. Worked great, sync'd up automatically whenever I got in the car, showed title and artist info for streaming sources. WTF, Mercedes? Why are we all dicking around with adapters off Amazon on your $100,000 high tech flagship?
