My S550 is a year old with 16K miles. I now have an annoying click (or clunk). (Not a creak or rattle). It is coming from the driver side and seems to be slightly behind me. Don't know if its seat or door. Not repeatable. I have pushed and pulled on everything. Did notice that pulling on the arm rest caused an incredible amount of creaking. Same if pushing on the wood trim. Looked under seat--nothing loose. Not sensitive to the placement of the seat (high/low/up/back). Can anyone suggest where to look. Frustrating.

 

Have shop foreman ride along to identify noise under warranty.

FYI to membership MB pays dealer for noise inspection drives, claimable under warranty - reference bulletin S-B-00.00/08a to SA.

 

Problem is its not repeatable. And you have to be in the drivers seat to hear it better.
