Extending Power train warranty for 2 more years

I have 2007 S550. I love the car. My extended warranty will be expiring in next couple of weeks. My car has now over 100000 miles on it.

I wanted to purchase just extended power train warranty that cover me for 2 more years or 24000 miles. The cost is about $2200 for 2 years, which is ok for me if it will cover the tranny.

See below. Is this coverage is good enough to cover my transmission in case if I need new valve body or electronic conductor plate or need to replacement of transmission.

Please can you guys review the coverage and give me some feed back. Thanks in advance for your support.

I am by no means a lawyer, but yes, the wording in that warranty appears to cover the transmission and it's assembly, including the valve body and in turn the conductor plate.

Thank you, I do appreciate your response. This $2200 will insure me that I don't need to worry about tranny and engine parts and assemblies.

I was looking for 2012 S550, but it is costing me out the door with 3 year CPO Unlimited miles plus remaining original warranty for $55000. The 2012 S550 has 30000 miles and lease return. It is good deal but still out off my $600 per month range.

If I purchase 2012 S550 then I get almost 4 years of warranty, 1 year original remaining and 3 years of CPO. And according to MB this warranty is transferable to next owner also, if I sell my car.

This new CPO 3 years warranty with unlimited mileage and no deductible deal is quite good.

What company is this? I currently have 87000 miles on my 2007 s550 and I am currently looking for a power train warranty. Any advice on where to go? That would be the best one.

AUL is a common extended-warranty company MB dealers affiliate with. Can't speak to their quality or ease of use as though I am not a contract holder.

The warranty is 3rd party through MB Dealer. I have been happy with it in past. Please note it is not CPO, so it will not cover some of the issue like your car seat heater, your door SAM modules etc.

But for transmission and engine, it is good to have some protection.

Now electrical and other stuff, you have to pay more.

In future, I will go with CPO, it is much better. Now the new 3 year CPO with unlimited mileage is much better, it just came out in 2014.
