Meguiars is what I have heard of the best on the metallic paint

Personally I prefer Collinite, because it lasts the longest from all the products that I've tried.
Some people say one wax "looks better" or "is shinier" or "looks wetter" than another. In my opinion it's just all in their heads.

I do think that some products deliver a better shine/protection than others and is all based in the quality of the product.
Like anything else in the marketplace, all products seek their own level of justification based on the cost of producing the product and the quality of the ingredients in the product.
A common characteristic of the lesser cost products in the market is the unusually high content of solvents in the product. High content solvent products will give a quick shine, that is true, but this will not last, and through prolonged use of products like these will cause the paint to deteriorate and become dull on the surface.

I use Meguair's 105 compound followed up with 205 polish but the finishing wax is Collinite. Offers the longest protection of any other wax I've used.

I have been using Adams products, see http://www.adamspolishes.com/default.aspx
I found about their products at an auto museum where the employees told me what they used on all of their pristine cars. These products are used by a lot of car detailers.

Nuru,
there's so many choices that is not even funny, if you're going to your local store just make sure that whatever product you select states that is PH7 balance. All the brands mentioned will work for you.
I will be more concerned with the wheel cleaners!

Oh yeah, I am really cautious about which wheel cleaner, and I am still researching that and which wheel polish to purchase.
