Telephone Issue
I have a IPhone 5s blue toothed to my 07 S550 and recently when I try to dial out I can not hear any ringing through the speakers it will be silent until some answers the call, when receiving calls I can hear the ring tone through speakers. Any one else have the same issue, any fixes.

Mine works exactly that same way (and is a Canadian car too in case that makes a difference)
It was weird at first, but I have become used to it. I assume that's the way it should work? Seems like maybe the system recognizes ringing and mutes it until someone answers.
Only downside is when you hit "send" and start talking to the passengers in the car about the person you're calling and all of a sudden hear them say "hello?". You wonder how much they heard

Interesting. I have only owned my car since earlier this year, and have always had an iPhone 5S. So I assumed this is the way it always worked.
Wonder if there is a setting to turn the outgoing ring on or off?

as soon as you hit dial. Use the volume control switch near the center console,and raise up the volume. Because when your navi speaks.You can control how soft or loud you want her to talk? This will only work while your navi is speaking though. So if you ever want to adjust it again.You can only do it while she is talking. Hope that helps.GL

I tried that still no noise from dial tone when making out calls, I believe it is an issue with apples ios 8 update that messed something up because I tried my wifes iPhone 5 same problem, but the dial tone can be heard when using my nephews iphone 4 which has apples old software.

Yeah! And if a cheap open source IPhone clone like an Android isn't primitive and f'd up for you, get a Build Your Own Mobile Cellular Communicator from Radio Shack. I hear it has a stopwatch and a calendar function!
Also if you actually do want to make a note to yourself, there's a space on the back for Sticky Notes and a Miniature Golf pencil.
