"SOS Tele Aid inoperative" message
Today I got this messages "SOS Tele Aid inoperative"
searched mbworld.org and found this under w211. Thanks to mtrevelino (Mike T)

1. turn key to run but don't start
2. burn headlights for two minutes
3. turn key off
then turn engine on/off a few times and the message should go away.
It worked for me! The only thing to active Tele Aid call I think was that I did not clear "33 days service over due..." reminder after changed oil.

Tele Aid support was discontinued several years ago (Mercedes severed relations with the Tele Aid provider) and was replaced by MBrace which was recently acquired by Verizon.
