Just spent a few minutes on the W220 forum. Not pretty. There is no humor there. I suppose this will be where the W221 forum ends up. Sad to say. I hope it takes a few years.

Brother I have a gl450 and the same problem happened to me and I feel your pain also if you want me to email you exactly what they did on my GL please send me an email dzsm428@aol.com by the way I had a warranty but they only covered 1200 and I paid $700 good luck I suggest you take the car to a dealer I learned my lesson taking previous benzos to side repair shops that claim they can fix it but don't get me wrong there r some that know what they are doing good luck!!!

No, but apparently we should have skipped college entirely, spent the tuition money on drugs and hookers and then just waited until the 221s were so cheap that pseudo-literate high school kids were buying them to deliver pizzas with.

You can tell that many of the folks who are purchasing these cars now are MUCH younger than the folks who these S classes originally catered too. Many were likely former ricers who are now trying to appear more mature and are looking to graduate to an upper echelon type ho, instead of the skanks they were used to when cruising around in their fart canned Civics & Scions. How can you tell who they are? Some examples are when they start out a post with "Bro" or use foul language all the time. Or the ones who are shocked to find out that their 100k mile S550 is much more expensive to maintain and repair than the Civic they just came out of. These people aren't likely the corporate types or old men who you'd normally see driving one of these fine automobiles.
