Reasons this thread is not real:

1. Title says '07 s550. If that car is not facelifted it is clearly a '10-'13.

2. You can't find an '07 with a 1k car payment. They have been less than 30k for a few years now. He would have had to buy the car at 54k. And if he can't afford maintenance he can't afford 54k.

3. The pic of the dude and the typing dont add up. Too proper for an income tax baller.

1)Not a stretch for it to be facelifted. It's dropped and on 22's so someone got into it. Isn't that a satellite radio antenna on the rear decklid, ala 2007?

2)Who knows how the financing was structured on the car...the terms, the rate, negative equity on a trade? On a Buy Here Pay Here lot that car can easily have been a $1k payment.

3)You're making a judgment that he can't possible write a cohesive post because you've seen one picture of the man and he's a black guy in casual clothes?

Brilliant! Any more deductions, Sherlock?

Always a tough guy "ONLINE". This thread is fake. The guy has money to drop it and put 22s on the car but can't afford the car payment? Also, he gets online and tells you dudes his financial business? Come on man. BTW, the "Ahole" comment gave it all away. Blacks don't talk like that. I would know.

Right. So the first three reasons you gave no longer count, since upon twelve seconds of scrutiny they make absolutely no sense whatsoever. To sum up, the new reasons are:

1)The guy put 20's on it and dropped it but can't afford the car payment.

2)The guy tells you his financial business online.

3)"Black people" don't use the word "a-hole".

Let's take these in sequence.

1) A guy who buys an 07 out of warranty is EXACTLY the kind of guy to dump money in a drop and wheels and leave no free cash for repairs. It's so cliche it's become a running joke on the forum.

2) Do trolls typically lie in a way that makes them sound worse? If the guy drives a $54,000 2010 or 2011 (and he doesn't) why would he lie and present himself as driving a crappy broke down 2007? Again, the guy who buys a high mileage 07-08 but fails to realize how expensive they are to maintain and repair represents about half of the new owners on the W221 forum at any given moment.

3) I am unaware of any word in the English language that is strictly off limits to each of the 45,000,000 black people in the United States. Perhaps he wanted to spell out the entire slur but was hoping to avoid the forum's profanity filter, which he did. Actually in his pic he looks mixed race. Maybe the white half wrote the post.

Let's be honest here. You kind of stepped in it here and didn't leave yourself an out. The "tell" is the ever-changing rationale, and the refusal to acknowledge where you've made errors in your analysis.

Maybe hang back a bit and get a feel for the forum before you start trying to dazzle us with your intuition and instincts. Since, you know, they're not very "good".

Lol it was just my opinion man. Aren't I allowed to have one? I mean... This is a forum, is it not? Hang back a bit and get a feel? Yea... You need some time off the net bro. Sometimes I forget that all you guys are like 35 and up but I refuse to argue with someone online because that **** is for losers who are tough on forums and a b*tch in person. (You're really good at that by the way). Have a good one old man.

Look, I'm fine with a guy who arrives in a thread nine pages in and starts stating his opinions as fact, but shouldn't the basis of the opinion stand up to even a little scrutiny? Especially when your opinion implies that everyone here is too stupid to ferret out a troll without your insight?

I'm not trying to antagonize you. I'm just pointing out that none of your posts made any sense. Am I not allowed to do that without you throwing a tantrum? Is this not a forum? Bro?

Hey Berry....no need to get your panties in a twist here. Once you're here for a little while, you'll get to know and appreciate Mike's comedy and wit. It may come off a little brash and perhaps offensive if you've never experienced his wrath of jokes, but in time you'll begin to appreciate it. Until then, lighten up Francis!

Well as it turns out I PM'd him not too long ago and asked him if any of our suggestions lead to a successful resolution of his shifting problem, and according to his reply, we should all "go f@ck ourselves" and if he knew where any of us lived he would "hunt us down kill us."

So, reading between the lines I'd say yes, we were able to sort his problem out for him. And really, isn't that what the forum is all about?

Berry, remember the adage, "Old age and treachery will always overcome youth and agility". I think that Mike is somewhat old (Sorry 'bout that, Mike). You might want to take lessons from him.

BTW, what's the clearance on the points of a 1970 Triumph Trident and how does one set the double-leading shoe front brakes? Or, why does one lay a cotton string over the sealant between the split cases of a Triumph 650 Twin?

Now I realize why the old dudes had so much fun schooling me when I was young!

2007 Mercedes E-350 4-Matic
W221/S-class not shifting gears / P0022 diagnostic code

Just want to add my personal experience to this thread.

I own w211 and had the exact same issue with 722.6 transmission on 2007 E-350 4-Matic , took it to the dealer and he found the P0022 Code that as someone mentioned points to the failure of Conductor Plate / Valve Body; major electronic component of transmission that controls shifting of gears.

The part itself cost around $200 (Genuine) plus $100 (4 qt. of fluid) on E-Bay. However it easily takes 3 to 4 hours of labor to change Conductor Plate or Valve Body. So if you could get it done within $700 to $800, that's a very good deal.

I know a DIY who did it himself, but even for him the cost was $400/ (just for the parts).

Hope this helps.
