S350 Bluetec - any issues with starting in the cold temps
In NC, I park my S350 in a carport. Friday morning its going to be at or below 0. Has any one had issues starting their diesels up north in these cold temperatures? How cold have you been able to start with no issues?

If your battery is good they will start without issues in well below zero temperatures. There is a reason why a block heater is not offered as oem option.

I've had three experiences with starting a diesel in temps of -20F or below..one experience with each of my three oil burners, the most recent occasion having been just last month. On all three occasions they started like a champ.Bottom line,if you've got a healthy battery and locally blended fuel in the tank (I gassed up upon arrival in that Quebec town each time) you'll have no problem at all.

Question for you diesel guys. Does the Blue tech use two full size batteries for winter starting like most diesels? Or just one battery like a gasser?
