Phone pairing

Ckd. other forum posts, but couldn't find info. 2007 w/ puck. Command software updated a few yrs. ago. Had an old clam shell cell phone, it paired and contacts transferred. Had HTC 'droid and it paired immediately and contacts transferred.

Today moved to Samsung Galaxy Note 3 'droid. Struggled, but finally got it paired. BUT, a total of five random contacts made the transfer. I unpaired, paired, messed around and here I write. When it actually pairs, a phone pop up says MB Phone System requests to transfer contact and call history. Yes or No option. I hit yes and it doesn't take. The pop up leaves, but in three seconds returns asking yes/no. This pop up just loops, doesn't execute a transfer.

Any members have experience on getting this transfer to work?

More frustrating is it won't stay paired. If I physically leave the car, w/ the phone, upon return the phone is not found and no calls can be run thru the car audio. The phone bluetooth setting shows "paired to MB Phone System". Paired according to the Samsung. Command screen shows no telephone connected. At one point the call history tab was replaced by the letters DTMF. Then that changed and the common two Data Calls tabs showed up.

Great phone, but this is beyond me. I cannot be the only Samsung user. I asked a lot here, but any and all advice is sure appreciated soon.

Thanks.

With my previous Acuras (2008 & 2011 models), my Samsung Galaxy Android always had pairing issues. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened with your 2007 Mercedes also.

I use iPhone 6 now.

On the transfer of contacts, keep hitting yes until it stops popping up. Had the same problem with the S5. It seems it can only transfer a few contacts at a time.

I have had no luck at all with my note 4. Yes, also very frustrated, however I should of accepted that I guess when I bought the car. I have seen a puck on eBay that will supposedly work with all the newer phones, but I cannot attest to that claim. Good luck!

I have a Visseo MB-2 that will work. $75.00. I just traded my 2007 for a 2012 and now don't need it. It was paired to my Samsung Note 4.

It is really maddening, as the darn Note 3 is very adequate for my needs. I'll explore options; thanks Platt. Even tho' a Hawkeye, this Badger may contact for that puck. Not sure of how to attach, but can be explored.

As to the reply suggesting Ebay's puck access/options. Allow the innuendo/slur, but I really am very close to simply saying puck the whole deal and sell the phone. I have had the car for yrs. and it still is solid, w/ under 90k miles. Thus, not anxious to throw the baby out, w/ the bathwater-yet.

Thanks for the caring replies. Other insights encouraged.

Not blindly brand loyal, I found this phone--- LG G3 --- comps the Note 3, feature and function-wise. I can sell the Note and be whole, so that's no issue. Anyone have insight on whether the G3 mentioned mates okay w/ an older W221? Help appreciated. Thanks.

I second that, my Note 4 paired immediately with the Visseo MB-2 and $75.00 is a good deal!
