Help! S550 wheels and tires
I'm new to the S world and I'm looking for an affordable 19 or 20 inch tire and wheel set that are also a very comfortable ride. Any ideas??? Thanks

Oh yeah. Diamond White ones take different wheels. Click the link I posted and scroll down to the W221 section. Every OEM spec wheel and tire combo for your Diamond White S Class is on there. 18's ride softer than 19's which ride softer than 20's.

Search Ebay for 19" AMG style wheels and you'll get hundreds of options. Owners running replica wheels typically go with a lower offset (35mm) than factory (43mm) to get a slightly more aggressive stance. Don't skimp on tires. For good comfort and long wear in a summer tire I recommend the Michelin Pilot Sport 3.

Oooops, I was only quoting what I found for the factory 19" wheels. my dealer's price was ~$648 for the refurbished units, and ~$950 for the new units. I also found them a bit cheaper online at Mercedes Benz parts superstore and GetMercedesParts.com
Matter of fact at GetMercedesParts.com for a Refurbished wheel 19", I paid
$520 or so delivered

Online Price $430.40 (plus $80 for core)
So a set would be about $1730 or so with CORE - $320 more without CORE.
GetMercedesParts.com is actually a MB dealer and so is mercedes parts superstore.

Yeah, I sold my OEM 19's for around a grand on EBay. Tough competing on price with all the decent looking replicas going for under a grand a set brand new. 19's OEM are pretty common on there from all the guys going to 20's from their stock wheels.
Honestly I wouldn't spend the money on 19's OEM or otherwise. The car "wants" 20's to look its best IMO. I know it's tempting to want to save on replacing the tires but you'll be much happier with the overall result if you bite the bullet and go all in on 20's.
