or one of these:

I would probably purchase form these guys though.

The main concern is whether or not the floor is level. If the floor isnt level no flat surface will measure the fluid correctly. For most other procedures the level is of not of much concern. I did my transmission fluid by clicking all the jackstands three clicks up. Good enough for me

Jason...No i bought OEM MB Brakes from Husker Parts. I read that Akebono's Pads eat the rotors quicker, so i stuck with MB.

Gotcha, i would just purchase one of the 6 ton jackstands from harborfreight like I did then and modify it to fit. These things are sturdy as hell

Getting ready to do my brakes and heard the same thing. Going OEM all the way around including rotors. Something can't be wrong with OEM when I got almost 50k out of the last set. I haven't noticed a dust issue either.....

The dust with the OEM pads is horrible. With the W140, with the way the wheels were, you could have dust covers on them and couldn't even see them. Not so with our wheels.

Sorry Jason, I don't have a dust issue. I think I would have noticed after 50k.....

Im thinking about using ebc's next on mine. They dust, but it cleans off nicely. The dust from oem pads etches the finish if you let it cake on

I guess when none of your other cars collect any brake dust on their wheels, you get spoiled. This car still, after 30 min of driving, I can take a finger and wipe quite a bit.

I had akebonos on my 750 and no dust, I can see these dust pretty quick. I'll likely do the akebonos again and swap them in myself.

I have a full set of Akebonos ready to go in. According to their claim, at least, that the Euro Ultra-Premium Ceramic Pads "...provide excellent stopping power while extending rotor life" and "...help ensure longer rotor life." If they said it, then it much be true.

Aftermarket brake pads, when compared to OE, generally offer no free lunch. From what I know, Merc pads will offer the best behavior (noise, vibration, etc.) and stopping power. They are very dusty. Aftermarket pads, while less dust, may offer inferior stopping power.

From a simpleton's perspective: There are two surfaces creating friction. Unless the two materials are exactly the same, one will be harder and the other will be relatively softer. In general, the softer material will wear faster than the harder. To me, the OE setup is designed to provide the best braking performance including good rotor wear characteristics, but the softer pads and chemistry impart excessive dust. Aftermarket pads like Akebono *may* accomplish the less-dust feature by being harder. Something has to give... At the same time, the Amazon reviews are generally great, so what do I know?

Ive run akebonos on my 750 for 3 years and they have been great, you do lose the initial bite of an oem pad, now this was on my bmw 750 and the bmw brakes are very grabby right away, the benz doesn't have that initial bite. I will most likely swap out the factory pads.

A big thing to also look at is are the pads semi-metallic, organic or ceramic. All have different characteristics.

Excellent question! From what I can see, yes. The rotors are smooth and they look like new pads. I'll know for sure when I pull the wheels.

I can understand why you ask, since, in the cpo report it was shown that they replaced the steering wheel and seat cover/heater. Upon receipt, however, the wheel and seat cover were not new and the heater was defective.
