Well, I was telling friends recently I was looking for a black on black S600 and one of them knows someone who will sell me their 2008 S600 with 40k on it as soon as tomorrow and they just had 4 new tires installed...they are sending cell pics in a few. They purchased a brand new s600 recently so it's been in the garage...wow, sounds too good to be true!
Im a low mileage fan less wear and tear on the whole car including seats and paint etc. who wants a 90k mile rock chipped 600?
I hear you on that...but looking at that S600 designo...doesnt show hardly any wear at all...unless I don't see something...as far as exterior/interior go.

You should be able to grab that car for around $33k from your friend. I'd want to see the full slew of service records on that car.
What could you not like about that car? It's a fully optioned low mileage S600 at a steal of a price with a great color combo. Even at $31k you'd be stealing it.
The interior photos might make the seats and dash look gray, but they will definitely look black when you see it in person.
I don't know...I swear that designo is what is grabbing me!! I think I am going to keep my car for a little while after I buy the new one...whichever one that may be but it will be by Saturday. I just went and too my video in motion out. I have to take my mercedes door lights out next.
Perhaps he should see it in person & drive it before making that decision? The thing in the pouch looks like the owners manual.
Dave...this may be true, but he has been looking. The price is a steal and he doesn't sound as interested as he has before. To each his own. I cant stand black interiors but some love them. Like he said its gotta grab you.... visually, not just financially.
Well, I called Endurance and they don't offer coverage on the S600's...I thought they were just specific to no AMG coverage but no S600 coverage either...bummer.
You can try Autopom. They are a sponsor on this board. You can also call credit unions in your area to see if they offer the CUNA Mutual auto warranty. If so, then the S600 would be covered.
Looks good to me in the pics, even though the wheels are terrible!!!
Def go see it and take it for a spin, in my experience you cant beat an orig owner car. Looks about as clean as your going to find in your price range. Actually the car looks mint? but you have to see it in person.
I guess I am looking at it from both sides. Lower mileage car, I'll pay more now and still eventually have to do the same repairs once the mileage gets up there vs pay low now and then do the maint items as soon as I get it and not have to worry about it.
There is one with 18k miles on it that I like but it doesn't have night vision - as useless as it may be I wouldn't buy it because why buy an S600 with missing options..if that was an option? I thought it would have been standard.
I'm very **** and like cars that look brand new, because when I'm done with them, they STILL look brand new. I take care of things and enjoy it at the same time. So, when I found this gem that only had 11,700 miles on it, end of story. The sticker in the glove is $110k, and this car looks/feels/drives brand new, with not one mark/ripple/stretch in the leather front or back. It smells brand new. I think if you find a car like that at basically half of what it was originally, in the color you want, and pay a little more for the low mileage - it's worth it.
Question on another car....It's an 07 S600 black on black 31k miles, and the only issues is the dash in the top left corner. Can this be fixed? I assume so. It was the guys wifes car and they keep it garaged at their 2nd home at the beach and he said it just start lifting from the edge and they have no idea what caused it but she never looked in to getting it fixed. Also comes with extended warranty until 8/2017. All service records...I talked him down to 24,500....yay or nay?
He said I can have the dash replaced but that will be expensive I am sure but maybe cheaper to just have a shop fix the leather in that corner? I don't think it would be too difficult for a shop to fix? I could be wrong...Any input greatly appreciated!
Dave, do you mind taking a look at this part of the dash in your car? Do you think it can be fixed? They dont use the car as its just garaged and I know I can talk them down more as he sounds like he will discount the car for this even though it's definitely worth more but he said if I am paying cash he can work with the price a lot.
That is not a crack in the windshield, it's a reflection.
