There's a little release tab on top of the cable head. Press that and pull toward you. What's wrong with the cable?

thanks Mike, i should've of ask how do i get the glovebox out so i can get to the cable end. And to answer your question i don't know if the cable is bad or if it's something else. I just bought the car and trying to stream music thru my iPhone. I bought a bluetooth for the phone calls it works fine and Tune2air to plug into the media cable but got nothing, thinking the cable might have a break in it. Can you help?

Ah. The 07 09 IPod kit is different from my 2010. Can you connect an IPod directly to the cable instead of a Tune2Air? That should isolate the issue to the cable.

Thanks again Mike, I'm a bit of Apple tech person I did plug my iPhone in when i first try it, but nothing. So when you said it i thought oh well i'll try it, I plugged in my big old iPad 1 and what do you know it worked. Now i have to figure out how to get power to it, I'm thinking that why the Tune2air doesn't work. I think the new media cables have that option. So back to question how do i get the glovebox/media cable out? Thanks again Mike

Was the car running or in the ACC position when you tried the Tune2Air? Otherwise no power out to the 30 pin.
