There building me a enlarged top mount intercooler, but first they need to focus on a few more minor bugs and I need to drop it off at the body shop for the black series conversion so they can do a front mount CAI the same time they do the new top mount intercooler

Yeah, I looked back and saw it was an SL63.

Nice, interested to see how the larger intercoolers turn out. I am thinking about larger or doing a quad setup, adding 2 more oem as I have seen done.

You mess with the turbos, intercoolers, or anything else engine related on your car and you can kiss the balance of your warranty goodbye.

Yeah I know...I figure my car is paid for, no car payments, insurance is dirt cheap so if something does happen, it won't be the worst thing in the world since it's not like the car is financed.

hahaha! Only other cars I ever owned were 3 mustangs as first cars, after that went to bmws, range rovers and now w221's lol.

I don't know what's next. It has to be a step up from the S600...so whatever that will be.

Listen here Badges....it sounds like you're about to step into a trap. Everything that breaks on these cars costs a small fortune to repair, so giving away the warranty isn't a very good idea. The gains you'd get from the work you want to do will not net you as much speed as you think and not worth the cost. These cars are already traction limited, so even adding 100 hp won't get you much in a street race. The S600 runs almost neck and neck with the S65, even though it gives up over 100 hp and 120 lb/ft.

That is obnoxious. It blows a muffler delete out of the water!

I'm still trying to figure out why someone with an W22x would want their sweet whip to sound like an American pick-up POS. More power to anyone who like this, but for the sake of Internet public forum....I prefer to get my noise from real power, not cut-outs. I don't drive a Hon-duh.

Just my opinion.

You can achieve the same effect by cutting out the rear mufflers and running straight pipes out the back....without having to worry about exhaust gasses getting into the cabin as you sit and idle or in heavy traffic.

Yup, I keep asking people how it sounds with the muffler delete on the S600...I want to know if it's crazy LOUD or livable loud. I am thinking about doing the muffler delete.

I think with the S600 the turbos really muffle the sound so it's not loud.

Edit: Answer...W221 Stock S600 with muffler delete.

Hi, I've done a muffler delete Its a lot louder with minor drone! However its not as loud as you would expect a car without mufflers to sound mainly because of the turbos. Ive had it done for about a year and still happy with it for now.

For the v12's I think this is a good option. 200cel 3" downpipes so you can still pass emissions, then 3" all the way back high flow silencers just before the tips and the electric cut outs in the middle section when you want more noise.

This setup gives you the sound and performance gains with the option to tone it down when needed.

I would love to buy these if still available!?

They mount easily while pointing perfectly out the back of the vehicle where you want them to. These cut-outs fit so perfectly, you would think that they were manufactured specifically for the Mercedes Benz. These can easily be installed by any muffler shop.

In the kit we put together we have included two oval electric cut-outs (1 for each pipe), 2 oval turndowns (1 for each cut-out) and the wireless remote kit so you do not have to drill or install a switch anywhere.

If you have been looking to increase the noise from your Mercedes, this is the perfect way to do it. You can go from stock sound to loud sound at the touch of a button and at a fraction of the price of an aftermarket exhaust.

Please PM me for price.

I’m hoping I can get these for my car, sometimes I just want more of a beefy sound from my w221 and I don’t want to eliminate the mufflers in case I get pulled over so these would be great!

Thank you and I hope to hear from someone soon
