Visseo Tune2Air

Based on advice in this forum I am thinking about buying a Visseo Tune2Air streaming Bluetooth adapter. Do I need an additional cable in the glove box area to plug the adapter into or will it plug in directly?

Do a Google search for Audi MMI IPOD CABLE and you'll see what it looks like. Tried pasting a link but iPhone keeps kicking me out of Safari.

TThis looks as if it should work. My glove box has female socket that would fit the plug shown, a USB connection and a 12V socket. There are no other sockets for a round pin jack

Yeah, that will work. They also sell just the Adapter (the silver part) if you already have an Ipod cable in the car.

Works seamlessly. Just so you are aware, if your phone receives an email while playing music, it will quiet the music while it makes it's ding noise.

Received mine recently as well. No more burning MP3 DVDs thank god!

I noticed that on my car (09) the iPod connector is only powered when the engine is running, which seems strange. This is the only thing I don't like, as I enjoyed turning off the engine and sitting in the car with music playing until I opened the door. So not perfect, but still pretty fantastic

With the engine off press the start button twice with your foot off the brake and the audio system will function including the iPod link.

Right, but if I'm driving, then park, and shut off the engine the audio shuts off immediately. Doesn't do this with DVD, they keep playing until I open the door

Seems like the iPod module dies with the engine in some years. My 10 plays from the Tune2Air until a door is opened.

Received my Tune to Air. Works great, just a quick plug and play. Pandora sounds pretty good and so I am happy

I just purchased a 2010 S550 4matic, so what are my options to playing music from my ipod or phone? Also can someone give me a quick summary of what this Tune to Air does?

Converts the IPod cable in the glovebox into a BT audio receiver. Adds BT audio and retains COMAND control as if an IPod/IPhone was physically connected. About $50 on Amazon.

Yep, any device regardless of OS that outputs BT audio will play thru it. Controls on non IOS might be hit or miss, but track skip should be universal.
