Oil Level and Oil Smell

My owners manual states that it is possible to check the oil level from inside the car using the buttons on the steering wheel. However, it does not seem to provide that option. I talked to someone at my dealership and he did not think the 2013 model had that feature. It is strange as I keep finding things in the manual that don't apply to my car. I understand that with opens such as say a rear seat package but basic things like oil level I would have thought would have applied to all models.

The other thing I am noticing is a burning oil smell occasionally inside the car. When I lifted the hood, no sign of leaking oil, but I could smell the burned oil. The plastic engine cover did seem to have a light glossy mist of oil on it.

Will ask the dealer to take a look as the car is under warranty

check the back of the engine. sometimes the rear cam covers leak oil. Or sometimes the rear main seal will leak. The burning might be from oil dripping on the exhaust alittle bit
