Depends on the weather
I basically just need a switched 12v back there for one of my lights/peripherals when doing night photo shoots of people...the place I do them, the back of the car is the easiest to access so I can keep the trunk up while I shoot.

There's a little fuse block that lives under a hidden panel between the rear seats (where the armrest goes). Pull down the rest, then pull down the little door and you'll expose the cavity. Get a butter knife and pry up the "floor" of the cavity to expose the fuse block.
Not sure what's switched vs hot but there's a fuse diagram in the spare tire well. That's the closest switched source I'm aware of. Obviously the second 12v battery in the trunk for an unswitched source.

Thanks! I will check it out. I'm sure there would be something there powering the reclining seats or the center armrest controls.

Yeah I have none of that stuff and there's still a mostly full fuse block with a dozen or so fuses. You'd pull hot from one of those with a fuse tap and then find a bolt into the chassis in the trunk for ground.

I see the fuse box...but I don't see how to run anything from there in to the trunk...? Does that center pull down to allow access to the trunk? I couldn't see a way to pull it down.

On my car, the switched outlet in the rear portion of the console is on with the key in the "on' position and the engine running. I noticed that switched outlet and the fridge are on the same circuit, and the fridge did not operate when the car was on ACC.

Where did you say switched power was up front? Cigarette lighter? And where do you find the wire for the cig if you have the radio out? 2010+

Is the starter battery good to tap off under the hood for something that draws under 1amp or would it kill the battery? Any other locations good to tap from?

Anything would kill the battery if it was on long enough and the battery wasn't being charged, but a < 1 amp load would take a long time.

hmmm, the rear battery is behind the trunk liner?
I am thinking I could just run a fused toggle switch off of the battery back there that way I can just turn it on and off when I need it?
