I'm not sure why you keep repeating this untrue line. Every single Lexus ever made that has ventilated seats start IN THE SAME POSITION that they were left in after a power cycle. My friend owns a dealership and I tested all different years and models and they all restart as left.....not a single one turned off after a power cycle. Not a 2004 model, not a 2006, not a 2016. Not an IS, not a GS, not an LS, not an LX.

Both of the LS's I had with the ventilated seats did not come back on after a key cycle. IMO, Benz has it right by the seats coolers turning on when you hold down the unlock button on your remote to roll down the windows. The heat escapes quickly and the car is never an oven when I get it. Also, my black seats are never hot to the touch, even when temps approach 100. I guess we can thank the UV glass for keeping most of the heat out.

Ventilated seats were a must have for me in the summer. I'm the only one of my friends that actually use it though. It seems like everyone uses the heated seat option on the other hand.

Ventilated seats are great, but get the MidCity remote start module and the Drone Mobile smartphone app and let the car's HVAC get the interior temp perfect before you open the door and get in.

I use mine constantly, probably 90% of the starts. Two or three minutes of run time is all it takes. For the winter I added a Wifi garage door opener, also controlled via app, so I can open the garage and prewarm the car from my phone.

I never touch the seat coolers/warmers.

These cars aren't built with people who live in warm climates in mind. They are built for everyone. I wouldn't want the cooled seats to come on during winter. I don't see why your making it a big deal about pushing a button.

If its a hot day, point the remote at the driver door and hold down the unlock button. The windows, sunroof, and cooled seats will come on.

If you need to lock it back up, hold down the lock button while pointing it at the door and everything will close up. If you do it a second time, all shades will raise. (Also works if you put your finger on the door)
