yea there was another guy on here earlier this year that told me about the module. i had no idea bout it. i just googled and found it again i might think about jumping on this since the price is $500 so its almost half the price of other modules. there is a piece as well so u dont have to repin or wire anything its just a harness u plug in. ill let everyone know how it goes once i get it and install it. your right now sure where i would put the controller either.

Yeah the pin-outs into the CAN looked like a pain, so a plug and play harness would be helpful. Since you don't really need direct cabin access to the controller maybe the glove box. I just learned how to pull the center console out. It would be pretty easy to flip it over, drill into the bin from the underside to run the wire and mount it in there. It's 4 bolts and some snap connectors.

I bought the Carlsson lowering module off EBay. I got it for $300 but i've seen other shops selling from $1500- $1700 for it. It works well but everytime you want to change the ride height you have to access the ECU as it straps on top of it. There's another module thats a little more costly but it has a height controller attached to it that you can hide in the glove box.

I went with a lowering module instead of links because we get a lot of snow in Canada and this way I can return the car back to stock height during the winter.

Here's a pic of my car lowered to 28mm. It can go down to 30mm.

Perhaps it's your style of wheel, but to me your car doesn't look lowered at all.

I'll try to get some other pictures tonight. It sits right above the tire. That pic is at a bad angle taken with a phone camera.

Test fit bumpers, skirts, and grill today. For ebay amg kit fit almost perfect oem. Very minor adjustments. As for the grill fitment wasn't great and was broken. Spoke to the company today and they are sending a new grill today. So far everything is going smooth.

Here are a few I took yesterday after work. The body wont look low as I have 22's on the car. The last 2 pics are when I first lowered it on the stock rims at 30mm.

Honestly, I like the look of the OEM wheels better but with the drop they're too tucked in. How about some spacers to get them flush with the fender lips? You'd get that full wheel well look but probably a better ride. The flush spacer config for the OEM 44mm offset wheels is 20mm rear and 15mm front.

The mechanic working on my car is tryin to get me to go back to 20s. But I like the 22s on my car. I feel like it fills in such a huge wheel wells better. The 20s would make my car sit a bit lower though.

Yeah, to my eye they don't look proportional, and the design is a little busy. The drop will close the gap on top of the wheel and a lower offset (spacers) will close the sides. Probably ride smoother too.

I think im going to get my wheels refinished in polished aluminum for next season. I like the 22's on the car, I think the 20's are a tad too small. Maybe 21's from the GL were the perfect size for it.

your car looks great. im in the market right now for new wheels. ive looked at a ton of wheels and trying to get pricing. it pretty much comes down to how much i want to spend. my car is silver so i wanted a all silver wheel or brushed silver faces and polished lips. your wheels would look good polished. i get to the point in all my cars and bikes. if i dont change them up after a while i get bored with it and want to sell.

I think 21" is ideal but they're expensive and rare.

the 21s would be perfect but my boys and the mechanic was telling me tires are more expensive cause they are harder to find and not as common as 22s or 20s.

Slammed!!!! Looked cool. Just playing with ride height. Fender should be a lil above tire once it's all said and done . As of today suspension is done. next up is rear seat belts from the accident a couple months ago. waiting on body kit to be painted and installed. then wrap roof black, and black plasti dip lower center part of front bumper. waiting for new grill to arrive, install new tail lights, weld on tips .then it will be done for just a bit. deciding on if i should plasti dip the grill black as well or leave it chrome.

I'll believe you're referring to Distronic. Some have reported issues with the aftermarket grilles, while others have had no issues at all.

The car looks fantastic. But if it were me, I'd peel off the plastic dip.

car is done but suspension is being weird. its barely lowered now. i had it lower but raised it back up. but for some reason one of the front is about .25 of an inch lower then the other. Is this because all the front suspension is brand new and still needs alignment? i didnt use links to lower it we just used spacers and the spacers are the exact same size. so i know for sure its not the spacers. any ideas or anyone have this issue?
