DIY front end rebuild
Planning on overhauling the front end suspension in a few weeks. Going to replace the front bearings, lower control arms forward and aft, and upper control arms. Stay tuned

OEM or aftermarket parts? If you don't mind I'm curious as to parts costs. When you say bearings do you mean wheel bearings? It does seem unusual to preemptively replace wheel bearings.
The fresh bushings should improve the handling and ride quality if they are worn. Are you going to do ball joints and tie rod ends as well?

In going to use lemfoerder upper control arms, genuine mb lower control arms forward and aft, and genuine mb bearings. About 1700 at fcpeuro.com. Ive been hearing some unusual noises and I think the front bearings are going to need to be changed.... plus Im gonna have the whole thing out anyway so might as well lol. On these cars the ball joints are built into the control arms so those will be replaced also. Tie rod ends are good on mine but the bushings are definitely worn

my car use to have the crazy squeek noises coming from the suspension. if thats the noise your talking bout. i replace lower control arm, radius arm, and sway bar bushings. i forgot what else was replaced. but now car makes no noises thank god. i got to be so loud it was almost embarassing to drive around.
