Exotic cars. ready for a upgrade.
Insurance shouldn't be an issue if you are over 25 years old and have a clean driving record even with an exotic. They are so carefully driven the accident rates are quite low and so the rates are not bad in general but of course check with your own insurance company. Get a quote before you buy anything.
In terms of exotics I like the Lambo Gallardo and you can pick up one that has been babied in your price range. Assuming you drive the thing respectfully and not off road or at full throttle all the time you should be able to keep it on the road with regular maintenance. Having said that check with a dealer and you will find regular maintenance is not cheap. Serviced twice a year just oil and lube and tune up checks will cost you up ward of $3000 here in Ontario Canada.
Consider the VIPER which you can buy new for under your budget right now and get it pretty much customer made for you. Maintenance is reasonable and speed wise get the street version and you can come up against anybody at over 600 horse power and a V12 engine. Careful though its a beast and can get a way from you. The accidents that have happened with this car are in the first few days of owning it as the power is hard to control if you are not use to it.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Ohh be ready to walk out of wherever you are and have people snapping pictures of your car and ask you nonsense questions frequently. Most people are respectful of what doesn't belong to them so that's always good.
Ferrari vs. Lambo: My .02 cents
I've been looking at purchasing a 458 to add to my collection but I must say the V8 doesn't sound appealing to my ears as the Gallardo's V10. No disrespect to any owners here that have one. Just not my taste. So back to the bull I go and I've set my eyes on the Murci now or Huracan. (I just don't like the rear end).
Wish you luck on whichever you pick. Just know the mod's for these babies are NOT cheap and you WILL want to do that ;-D

Yes!

Maybe I wasn't clear up top. My mistake everyone. The lambo exhaust for me personally has a deeper more aggressive sound. If I'm able to find a video of mine I'll upload it. Guarantee to put a smile on peoples faces from what we've seen as you pull up to another car enthusiast. The 458 sounds gorgeous just to me more refined w/ some sexy curves.
Yes Jason 100% agreed w/ the maintenance. The 360 Modena requires a lot of maintenance while the F430 requires less and the 458 even less but still it's pretty pricey for hardly being used.
Hope this helps anyone.
1bad540: That's very good price for a 458 w/ only 3k miles!!

Please do not start thinking about an exotic if you make 60k a year. Your credit score can be 800 but that doesn't mean you can afford it. There are people with 775+ scores making 30k but all that shows is excellent payment history, etc. It doesn't say you have disposable income to buy whatever you want. I'm not saying that to be mean or belittle you. 60k used to be a lot but, but in this world as it is now, 60k is just making it, at least in this area.
IF, you have about 180k+ in savings while making 60k a year, preferably a lot more, your 401k is on point and you have no debts outside of mortgage, then I would say it's ok to think about but when your monthly debts exceed your monthly income, that is a big NO NO. If you have to borrow from your savings to pay bills, the last thing anyone needs to think about is adding more debt...just my opinion.
I buy all my car cars in cash...it's easier, you get it for a better price, pay no interest and insurance is cheaper with no lien on the vehicle. A lot of people can not do that, I understand that, but don't get yourself in trouble trying to finance a high priced vehicle because it's not worth it. If you ever had to sell it or trade it in, with interest on top of that and depreciation as soon as you pull away, you're going to be upside down, or coming out of pocket with the difference.
There are plenty of people who can get in an exotic car but that doesn't mean they can afford it.
It's my preference (not that you have to follow that) to have at MINIMUM 3 times your salary in immediate accessible savings (outside of stocks, 401k, etc) because anything could happen at any time and why take out loans, etc for emergencies and get in debt when you should have the money in savings for things like that.
DEBT TO INCOME RATIO.
I know it's hard seeing people drive really nice/exotic cars and you say to yourself, man I want to get one and you start thinking of ways to make it happen immediately...sometimes patience is key. Tell yourself in 1 year or 2 or 3 or whatever amount of years that you will save for specific item X and buy it at that time.
If I wasn't married and just a single guy, I'd be driving a ferrari, lambo or bentley mostly likely right now but after having 8 cars in the last 6 months, you realize that cars are just material and they come and go, I guess that's why I keep changing and I'm making a profit when I sell them because I buy them at a low cost in cash and sell them for at least 4k+ what I bought them for. My wife keeps me really focused when it comes to savings, future goals like buying another house in FL and retiring by the time we are 50 (33 now) so we can enjoy life and not work while we're 60+ years old and we travel A LOT which is not cheap. We get an allotted amount of "fun money" per month. She uses her monthly fun money to buy stocks, I use mine to buy cars and things for cars lol.
Make your money, make money for you so you can buy an exotic in cash not even using your own money. If you're willing to use all of your disposable cash to buy a car (which in my opinion is not smart), you can use part or all of that and invest in real estate, stocks, etc. and flip your money....think long term, not short term.
Sorry for the long post but at the end of the day, people do what they wan't and some people will agree with me and some won't but i'm just offering some words of wisdom from my short 33 years of life, thus far. :-)
Just keep saving. You'll know when the time is right for you to buy an exotic.

Delayed gratification is very satisfying. I just bought a 2013 S550 at age 47 after driving a beater for 20 years....with a net worth in the top 5%.
