"Cruise Control Inoperable"

Forum Members,

Received "Cruise control inoperable" on the dash display this morning. Cruise control decided to not work anymore after testing it. Have not tested it since. Does any one have any knowledge to resolving this issue?
Possible fuse/relay? Any quick advice would be great, helpful, and much appreciated. Thanks for your time and efforts regarding this issue.

Nothing in this car is "fuse/ relay".. Unfortunately

Car needs to be read and cruise control/ distronic if equipped needs to be interrogated

ALX,

Thanks for your reply. Fortunately, after restarting the car the cruise control work and I no longer get the error message. Oh well, must have just been some kind of electrical hiccup. Nonetheless, one less problem to worry about.

I’ve been getting this same message off and on for the past month. First time it happened my car was extremely dirty and a few minutes later it said ABS and Stability control unavailable. So I washed the car and it went away (dirty wheel speed sensors I guess?) Then it’s been off and on. Maybe once every 10 days. I use cruise control all the time so this is really annoying. I don’t have Distronic, so that rules out a lot. Nbd, just curious if others are experiencing it and what was the result.
