I think he should be banned for getting me inducted into DENSA. I used to be a member of MENSA before this thread started.

Macco has it's good points and bad points. I bought an 88' Corvette over the summer that needed a light resto. I know the owner of the Macco out here pretty well. We both belong to the same E.L.Ks lodge. He did the right thing by me and the paint was done very well at a price that was agreeable, though more than I expected to spend.

Macco as a national brand has a pretty god warranty on their work. But make no mistake about it Macco is a car repair factory. Attention to detail is sometimes over looked. As well as the paint came out on my car there were little things done in the prepping and reassembling of the car that wasn't done. In my case all I needed was paint. I'm sure the Macco you are using ca pull the quarter panel out. The question is how smooth will they be able to get it so it can take the paint properly.

lol! It's a 1940s haircut. My barber was out of town and I went to an overpriced hack nearby. I even showed her b pictures of me with the haircut.

Side question: Those pcmia memory cards that go in our cars are selling on amazon with 128gb cap. Will a 128gb function in our cars?

Get the pcmia to SD card adapter. I believe 32gb FAT 32 is the largest single partition size that works.

When you need to ban someone on a Vbulletin forum who keeps creating new user IDs you can block a range of IPs. Sometimes that inadvertently sweeps up some users unintentionally. With the number of page views you're generating I'll be surprised if they don't give you a medal.

I keep seeing these on eBay and they usually say Will not work with S-Class somewhere in the description. Any idea why?

Many don't work with fully functioning S-classes. You might be OK though.

Since you like experimenting with your wreck....he's a little experiment you can try to see if it works. Buy the PCMCIA adapter card and purchase an SD Bluetooth transmitter for the card to see if you can possibly stream music to it. I've always wondered if that would work and have never been able to find an answer.

Here's an A2DP enabled PCMCIA Bluetooth card you can try:

http://www.psism.com/pcabt1.htm

You would be a pioneer in this respect as I don't believe anybody has ever tried to use the PCMCIA slot as a music streaming device.

Great looking S550. From the looks of the two stickers in the front wind shield, it looks like it was registered in NY? if it was, I'd surmised that the damages were the result of a bad parking job probably by a parking attendant in NYC(NYs' are known for going full derby when parallel parking) just kidding. overall it think its a great investment. can't wait to see what you'll do with it.

Well, then, you could just get a long bungee cord and hook it from the trunk lip near the backlight (rear window) all the way down to the bottom of the bumper. Then opening and closing the trunk won't require a box cutter and a new roll of duct tape.
