Since we have new information that the Acura is a salvage tittle I wonder if some where out there on the old interwebs there is an Acura forum with a similar thread started by the OP.
Lol, if only! In 2004 I loved the Acura TL so much I made an account on Acurazine.org with the handle "Saving4aTL". Logged on years later to tell them I finally got it! Another childhood dream come true
It looks like you guilted him in to buying a policy for the TL. It is effective tomorrow, and I be cancelled on Tuesday.
Wow, I missed that. You can of course bind a policy online and generate an ID card instantly. I think it's safe to assume he's been driving without insurance on the TL and the S.
What i've learnt so far - watch out any 'salvage' titled cars that have ever had a OR registration... and wtf, I can buy a wreck and do the above, cosmetic repair it and sell it without anyone ever having checked it's road worthiness.
i remember reading online about how there used to be ways to "clean" salvage titles by registering the vehicles in certain states. I don't know if it's still possible, but something to watch out for
The OP seems to have missed responding to this one.
what a joke this child is.
Grow up kid.
He's definitely not the brightest apple of the bunch. Unfortunately his stupid behavior and lack of any kind of common sense is pretty typical of many Russians.

If you ever travel to different countries, you understand the context of common sense changes from one to another.

My last name means apple in Russian.
It should mean dull apple. I have a feeling that many Russians born around your time (and their parents) were greatly affected by Chernobyl and thus have a difficult time with logic and common sense due to the devastating effects of the fallout. I've seen some pretty scary pictures and videos of the aftermath and how it still affects them. With that perspective in mind, your actions seem to make more sense.
Got the Transfer Title work done! Have to wait 4-6 weeks for title to come in. Then I can register in Washington. At which point, I'll have to pay the 8.2% State tax on the purchase price of the car(roughly $850).
Odd. There is no mark in the title brand box..
I had to drive through the ghettos of North Portland to get to the DMV. There was an S550 in the left lane. To which I wondered, Who is more ghetto atm? My mashed rear end, or his 24" rims?

You drove the unregistered and uninsured Cedes (based on the dash from your photo)... over the newly insured TL?
Despite the last two pages of discussion about insurance, you keep making these silly decisions and that's what's putting you up for ridicule I'm sorry to point out.

It's not unlawful to drive unregistered. To teacher the title you have to present the car so they can check the vin and driver door jam.
The law does not grant an exception to allow people to drive unregistered, uninsured vehicles on public roadways. If the car has to be presented for inspection it needs to be transported to and from the site. It can't legally be driven unregistered or uninsured.
Whats interesting for me is that when I purchased my first vehicle here in the US (California)... I spoke with the insurance company and provided the details etc and done.
However, I got a letter from the DMV few weeks later stating that it doesn't appear that the vehicle was insured and that they'll remove the registration unless I do so asap...
Which led to a call back to the insurance company and found out that the VIN entry they submitted was missing a digit , hence the DMV never matched the insurance with the vehicle.
Obviously this is not a mandatory practice across different states?

That it can. In Washington, DMVs sell trip permits for 3 days at $30, and trip permits to and from dmvs/shops for 3 days at $5.
Are you upset because you live in Passaic county and I called it Ghetto from experience?
sigh, no silly little boy, I'm not upset because of that. There are a number of reasons why:
1. Passaic county represents everything from Paterson to West Milford. If you could find anything in common between those two, I'd be impressed. Clifton isn't Beverly Hills, but its not Camden either.
2. I like where I live, whether you think its ghetto or not.
Now, to the bigger point. You need to grow up. Driving around without insurance is ridiculous. Your wife has no problems with this?
Claiming to be proficient at personal finances when you aren't even budgeting (and purchasing) for car insurance is pathetic.
I actually rooted for you at one point. That is long gone. The more you post, the more you are showing that you are simply not ready for adulthood. Your parents should be ashamed.

For $10 a day the state of Washington will pay any insurance claims that result from you driving an otherwise uninsured vehicle, and waive any requirements that the vehicle be registered?
According to the WA DMV they will waive the registration requirement for up to three days on a trip permit. Nothing in the statute waives the insurance requirement.

In Washington/Oregon the State does not Demand you have insurance if you own your vehicle.

Oregon absolutely requires insurance. See below from the Oregon DMV site:
Oregon's mandatory insurance law ORS 806.010 requires every driver to insure their vehicle.
You must certify that you have this insurance each time you register a motor vehicle, or when you buy a light vehicle trip permit. You must also certify that you will comply with Oregon's motor vehicle insurance requirements as long as a vehicle is registered in your name, or for the duration of the permit.
Driving Without Insurance
Driving without liability insurance could result in fines, suspension of your driving privileges, and your vehicle could be towed. If your vehicle is towed, you are subject to the towing and storage fees. This is in addition to any fines you may have to pay.

I was j/k about Passiac being ghetto. I was reffering to the ghetto part I used to live in when my family first arrived to the Unites States of America. Still has a good ring to it!
Wouldn't it be a bummer to drive an average of 25k miles a year for all of your 20s and never have to use insurance? Up to age 25 insurance payments are outrageous even with a beater.

Your right, its only Washington state. Oregon DMV offered me a 30 day trip permit if I had the car insured.
