Anxious about buying a 2013 S-class
The Toyota luxury brand’s flagship sedan was down 19.7% through May, while the Mercedes-Benz S-Class was up 81.8%, leading the segment.

I would have thought this would have been fairly obvious.
I have owned many luxury cars, most being German and you do feel as if you become a part of the car as you can feel what is going on. The car communicates with you through the steering for the mindless idiot above who is clueless. This makes the car more inspiring to drive, again for the idiot above. Lexus lacks this feel. Steering in my opinion is numb and not very responsive, feels like a Camry. And I dont know where you got those figures from because here in NY, Lexus is a dying breed.
As for your tough guy, lets fight in person ****, grow up...for the sake of your children.
The whole point of the luxury cars is to be isolated from the outside world. Why do I want steering feel in a 5000lb boat? Its not like its a sports car or has any sporting pretensions. I want a smooth, quiet, and isolated ride, just like most other buyers. P.s., if you want steering feel, go get in an air cooled 911 without power steering. Thats steering feel. The s-class...please.
Where I got those figures:

But nah, I'll take your word for whats going on in the country based on your experience in middle of nowhere NY....not even NYC.
Just admit you are making **** up and we can move on.
p.s., stop pm'ing me creep
Also, despite my feeding the anti-Lexus LS opinion, Lexus sells plenty of cars overall, and if you don't mind a mechanically reliable, somewhat dull, reasonably nice luxury Toyota, with all the good and bad that goes with that, then enjoy that.
I do understand the attraction and it drifts into areas of personal taste.
I don't understand getting angry about it, or personal attacks and posturing. it's an Internet forum about aging S-class Mercedes, which now starts at $8,000. Owning this car or a similar Lexus LS does not mean anything more than you own a used luxury car.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Lol, I was not called out. You were called out for making statements with no basis in fact...such as "lexus is dying out". you may be from NYC, but your views on the current landscape of the luxury car marketplace seem to be based on Monroe, NY. hardly a meca for luxury vehicles.
I would argue that you also received what you deserved.

Understand something...Your entitled to your opinion as I am to mine. The difference is, I do not start off with INSULTS toward any member here as YOU did, unless I am provoked. Learn from this, learn that while you may be in the internet realm, you are addressing (and in your case) disrespecting REAL people and when you do you will be CALLED OUT!
**Thanks to the members who messaged me seeing my point on this persons blatant disregard for respecting other members and in regards to me, "Putting him in his place", your very welcome.**

Will Lexus just abandon the LS? The "spindle" grill is not attractive.
They are clearly struggling in this class.
