Starting System Woes - Drained Battery
Been having a frequently recurring issue with a drained battery the last several months:
Seems the car battery does not have enough standing voltage to start the engine after sitting parked. Sometimes this occurs after a day or two, other times a couple of hours. I've had the alternator replaced 6-months ago, and the battery is 2-years old.
I've had the electrical and charging system tested. Both the battery and alternator are performing in spec. Also did a diagnostic on the electrical system for a parasitic drain, but within less than 30-minutes the system only has a 30-milliampere draw...if I lock the doors immediately after I exit it settles down in less than 30-minutes. Yet, this intermittent problem persists!
Before I pull out what little hair I have left, I thought I should post this problem in case it's either a known issue with a known remedy or if there was something unique to these models that I'm missing.
Thanks in advance for your relevant responses.
It could be an issue with a bad cell in the battery.

When starter is going bad it does exactly what you say yours does. It can even crank the engine fine but pulls so much Amps the car cannot start.
