Tire options for sports pkg plus one

Been looking at whats available for the 20" wheels. I'm in AZ so snow isn't a worry. But I been looking at some older threads an the consensus were either Michelin's or Pirelli's. The wheel size is limiting choice's.
After reading reviews at several sites most of them are based on much lighter vehicles due to the fact the wheel size is considered a performance application. Been eyeing the Bridge Stone S04 but again the reviews are mixed but none of them on a heavy car like ours..

So what is everyone running with this wheel size??

My favorite S Class tire by far is the Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

Unfortunately not available in the 20" size the car takes...

I'm leaning on the pilot super sports as the car has the Conti DW at the moment.

The car rides phenomenally on the MPSS. Staggered, the rears will give you 10k, fronts about 15k, so they're expensive and don't last you very long. Think of them as the $1500 a night escort of the tire world.

Square set up only. Half if staggered. The fronts give you 15, the rears more like 9 or 10k. Pretty much any Summer Ultra High Performance rear I've had on an S has lived a short life. Heavy car, and RWD means the torque required to move the car from a stop is all exerted on the rear tire contact patch.

Not available in the staggered set up, just noticed that. Although I love the Michelin brand myself, you can really appreciate the savings with the Conti's when it comes down to those two choices. .

I want to try something different. The Conti's have 27k on them and have been good so far... But I have been a Michelin guy for years..

You'll never go back. I just put a set on my new C Class. Anything you put them on feels like a different car.

The only downside I've experienced with Michelins are that they tend to get bubbles easily Upon hard impacts. I've replaced two (20") front tires already but haven't had any issues since switching the suspension into the comfort setting. I experienced this with my 7 series as well when I ran 21inch Michelin pilot ps2's.
