Are these AMG side skirts legit? Bad vibration between 50 & 80mph
I have AMG kit on my '13 S350. One of the side skirts got chipped so bad that I need to change it. The dealer wanted $1700 for the part, paint and installation. Found both sides sold online for $300 but not sure if the website and the parts themselves are legit. Could someone look at them and tell me what you think? http://www.rwcarbon.com/mercedes-w22...de-skirts.html
Also my car experiences a noticeable vibration between 50 and 80mph. The dealer said I need to replace all of my rims (I have AMG rims that came with the AMG kit). The new ones would cost me $5000 so I wanted to make sure I'm not paying for the wrong solution. Please let me know what you think.

With the prices on that site it wouldn't be a genuine AMG part.
If you have a vibration at speed it could be because your wheels are bent (maybe from hitting potholes). You can send it to a rim shop that straighten them out, and then get your wheels and tires balanced.

Before replacing all of your wheels, find a reputable wheel shop and have them trued and repaired if needed. Should cost around 100 bucks a wheel. Assuming they are all bad, which I doubt they are unless you hit something with all of them.

Those side skirts are just fine to put on your car....as long as they have all of the mounting hardware. But you'll likely have to have them painted to match your car as they usually only come primed. We have a couple of vendors on this board that sell the full 2010-2013 AMG body kit for less than $1500. Lots of happy customers here who've purchased and installed the kit. Those side skirts are likely made by the same manufacturer, which I believe is based in Taiwan.
The vibration could also be coming from worn bushings on the control arms....or even a worn motor or transmission mount.

Lol. Amg package = 20" wheels = bent wheels
Have your wheel balance checked on a road force machine. It will tell you if you have bent rims.
And yes "style" = aftermarket <> oem

Yeah, it would be a stretch to bend all four wheels. Just one wheel out of balance can produce that high speed vibration. I'd skip the dealer and go to a tire shop.
I just had MB mount a set of AMG replica wheels on my 205. Immediately there was a hop in the rear end from 60+. MB of course blamed the rims.
I took the car to my tire guy. One of the new rears had no weights on it and the road force balancing machine was calling for 1.5 oz. MB was so busy disparaging the knock of wheels they forgot to balance one of them. It's not like there were weights that fell off...there was no residue or evidence they were ever there.
I also had them re-balance the other 3 and the car is smooth as silk now. Take the car to a dedicated wheel shop for road force balancing, and also have them measure run-out, which can cause vibration in a wheel that otherwise balances normally.
If you really need all four wheels, consider a set of replicas from eBay. They're inexpensive and I've had good luck with them.

I refused to replace the rims. The dealer told me my front rotors were bad and needed to be changed. I agreed and also agreed to change the pads. Guess what? The vibration is gone! Now the car feels like it did when I drove it out of the dealership the first time.
No clue how or why.

Front rotors must have been warped pretty bad from the sound of it. I would assume that you had pretty bad vibration in the steering wheel during braking?
