2012 E350 Cabriolet now SOLD to my son
Not sure but from the appearance those appear to be a small filter and a dessicant bed. Maybe those are aftermarket?

Only thing i can think of is to 1. remove moisture coming from the inflating pump. 2. filter the air after?

JK but prolly directly related to the water in the passenger footwell ...lol

I’ve seen these…one is the air filter prior to the pump…I believe the other is a muffler to reduce system fart noises.

mine has two but both open to atmosphere as if two times filters but they do look different to each other - where's the lighter red tube on the left run off too ? that's not on my car I thought its were the air goes in?

After closer inspection of your pics it looks like I have a break in my air hose in the exact location as your pic.

can't remember but its come off quite easily - lift the seat up on its adjustment and get a powerful torch out - does it slide off forwards - when you get it off you sit there think did they really bodge it up that badly / cheaply

wait till you try and untuck the seat cover that's some fun in situ - its just a bead sewn in the trim edge wedge in some nasty metal clips in a few places

I usually go on Ebay and look at used parts for clarity on where the tabs are and how they look. Having done this recently myself, the WIS instructions are just too fuzzy to provide full information. You may want to check ahead for part availability from MB if you need a replacement--they are down to the low single digits or zero, depending on your color.

I’m new to the MBWorld page so please bear with me.

I’m trying to look for a replacement plug coupling for the dynamic seat that runs onto the seat control valve (the coupling with the pink line) and have been searching for days with no avail. I’ve referenced the air line P/N with no luck and am turning to y’all for assistance. If anyone could respond with a P/N or any other further guidance I’d really appreciate it.

If this is the incorrect thread for my post I apologize. Thank you.

^^^ Mercedes rarely sells individual parts like this, so your best bet is finding a part on eBay that includes this coupler or the whole assembly.
if you’re creative, you might use epoxy, brass fittings, irrigation drip lines or many other solutions. Good luck!

Have you searched mboemparts.com?
And it seems you can buy just this adapter , you have to buy the whole bunch of air pipes.

I have tried that site specifically with no luck, though it does have some parts I’ll probably need down the road. I ended up finding the part on eBay off of a seat control valve. Took a few days of constant searching and just got lucky. I’ve heard people use brass fittings as well? How does that mix with everything being brittle plastic?

More leaks, more repairs. This time pressure reservoir.

Adding to the knowledge base. I’m sure this will help other old Dynamic Seat users.

My pneumatic seat was not working…again. Pump was running almost continuously until it timed out.
I could hear a leak near the pump in the trunk, so I pulled all the panels to get the pump out and inspected it.

Leak detected where the manifold connects to the pressure reservoir. 2 screws to get the reservoir out where I can check it.
The ball plugs had split the white plastic fittings and caused the leak. Removed the manifold with clips each end. Cut the lines near the fittings.

On the bench I used 5 minute set JB Weld epoxy slathered over the split ends.
Heat the tubing gently to slide back on the fittings.
Place everything back in the car and wait a couple hours for the epoxy to set. Good as new!

This thread refuses to die, mostly because I refuse to give up fixing the Dynamic Seats!

Just returning from a 3000 mile journey from Tucson to Denver and back.
Car was flawless, except the dynamic pump for the seats would time out due to lack of pressure (see previous post).
Note - I may not be on this forum much longer as I just picked up an X5 M50i with 525 HP. And everything works like new! 👍

I hooked up a ‘smoke’ machine to the pressure reservoir in hopes of finding a leak. There were no visible leaks!
So, I hooked up a spare pump I had in my box of spares and it won’t go above 5 PSI (cutoff is about 16 PSI).
That pump went straight to the dumpster.

eBay pump on order. Will hopefully fix the issue. Will update when solved.
Here’s pic of the smoke machine and pump internals, in case you want to see.

You probably have leak at either seat tubing. I had the air tubes that feed the seat control boxes gone bad/rotten that just fell apart in my hands. My car is a 2012 model so everything is 13 years old.
