I was so close to getting that same plate for my old S55. Went with APEX AMG instead..
Transfered right over!

So, technically ... if you consider the Orange to be the "O", the plate reads S55O AMG, which in fact is true as it has the AMG package but is not an S63/65 which would be the W221 AMG models.

Perhaps he had a W220 S55 AMG prior to the current car and just transferred the plates?
