S600 Coil
Before I go dropping an obscene amount of money on a coil for my 600, anyone got a new left side coil laying around they want to sell cheap? Or any idea where I can get one for a reasonable price? Any help locating one would be appreciated, 1200 bucks is a bitter pill to swallow but I'll do it if I need to. Thanks!

also, parts.com will have a brand new oem coil for about $1000. part #2751500780
lastly if you are the diy kind you can get spare individual coils and replace only the problematic ones for about $50 per coil.

if you can afford for the car to be down for a bit you can have your coil rebuild for a fraction of the cost.

Hello
I would suggest Clark Rupp over at V12icpack.com. You can rent a rebuilt coil pack from him to make sure you don't just chase parts and if it is the problem you can buy it from him. Last week I also lost a coil pack on my S65 and withing just a few days had my car back to new with the help of Clark and I saved some cash!
Good luck

Not sure how much you have looked into it, but there can be several causes for misfires, and it is not always the coil pack. The voltage transformer could also be the culprit. I would change the spark plugs first if you haven't already, and check for oil seeping from the valve cover gaskets down into the spark plug area.
Clark will take your coil pack as a core and sell you one his company rebuilt for a reasonable price (they know what they are doing) but he will not take one if it has been opened up FYI.

Also, you must clear the ECU codes correctly to make the misfire go away. You need to have the key on "Run" (position 2) and clear the codes with whatever tool you are using, turn the ignition off for about 10 seconds and disconnect your scan tool to allow the ECU to go to sleep. Then turn the key back to the run position and use the scan tool to confirm they are cleared. Otherwise, the engine will continue to misfire.
