Its no different than any other High end luxury car. 7 series you would get the same thing. We all know the break down rates on these cars are very high and cost alot to fix. Your paying either way. I had a 750 that I kept a few years out of warty, nothing went wrong w the car and i only put about 5k miles a year on it. I sold the car w 55k miles and nxt owner the valve stem seals went a year later and he sold it. I had a great experience withit and he did not.

Good point 1bad540. I had good luck with my '13 750LI, but it was under CPO warranty anyway. I know I'll have some issues down the road, but I'm prepared for them. I'm not lying to myself. Fortunately, I can do most repairs myself, which will save me some cash.

what has kept so many people away from the 750 is bmw is stupid and keeps using *****ty valve stem seals. I had 2 cpo 7 series in a row and switched to the s550, now Im on my 2nd s550 cpo.

I'm new here, but I bought an '07 S600 a few months ago and love it. The dealer printed out a record of all maintenance done and there were about 10 pages of details. The ABC has been flushed twice and the transmission flushed 4 times in 80k miles. The original owner over-maintained this car and I'm hoping that will keep it running for a long time. I have driven it from LA to Phoenix and back twice and it's the nicest ride for a long trip. I got over 21 mpg going 85-90 the whole way, which I'm pleased with.
Don't let a big stack of service records make you think that you're safe from high cost repairs. Expensive stuff will definitely break on your car and cost you a small fortune to repair. Miles and even more so age seem to dictate the ownership costs of these cars. At 11 years old and 80k miles, you should be waiting for the other shoe to drop. I just traded in my 48k mile S600 2 weeks ago. I was the 2nd owner of the car and purchased it from a guy in his 70's from S. CA in Nov, 2014 with just 24k miles. The car came with a big stack of service records and even the 40k mile service had already been completed. In my 37 mo and 24k miles of ownership, my warranty company shelled out over $24k in claims. And that was on a meticulously maintained and never abused car with very low miles. All older S-class car owners should be concerned if they cannot afford high repair costs, not just S600 owners.

I leased my CX9 from Sansone. The tire and wheel insurance is through Toyota too.
FYI: After owning and Leasing Toyota's for almost 14 years I have nothing bad to say about them. For a bunch of slant-eyed gooks that we nuked twice, they build a hell of a car.

That is the truth. My buddy bought a 2013 GLE 350 with a diesel from Sanzone Mazda, they sold him a non-exclusionary warranty through Toyota.

Depending on how many miles he put on it the valve stem seals fail in the 60,000 to 75,000 mile range. You sold it to him right before that sour spot. That being said, once that is sorted out the engine in that car is pretty much rock solid. I can see why people would lose their minds over the valve stem issue. It shouldn't happen, EVER.

It's shameful that the admins of MBWorld have allowed a comment like this to stand unchecked for days on their site, but I can't say I'm surprised considering some of the things I've seen said here in the past.
