I was away for a month and the car was parked in my friends' parking lot( 07 S550). Now it won't unlock and sits really low. I'm suspecting a low battery since the light on the remote flashes (it has been snowing up here in Boston) so the car has been chilling.
Anyways, I was going to open the door and try to give it some power. Tada! New problem the release lever for the mechanical key is broken. Could someone please help me about how to get the key out please.
You are trying to move it to the right, right? Don't push it further back to the left.
Basically, you need something to grip on that metal piece, enough so that you can do the slide. Try with some pressure from the top, maybe a large head screwdriver?
