What maintenance at 60K for S600?

It has 67,000 miles and I don't have any service records. From what I see in the manual and common sense, I should do the spark plugs, air filters, cabin filters and oil change. Anything else? Transmission fluid change? Is trans filter replaceable? Throttle body cleaning?

I would service the trans. It does have a filter, but I don't know if it's better to do a filter/fluid exchange or a fluid flush. My trans was serviced at the dealer 5 times before I bought it, but not sure exactly what the service consists of. Perhaps they alternate between the two services. I'd also flush the ABC fluid and replace the ABC filter. I have service records from the dealer stating they performed some sort of fuel system cleaning, but again, not sure what they did exactly. It could consist of throttle body cleaning.

I wouldn’t do anything besides a routine oil change. Less is more, you start changing things and getting hands in places..... things could go wrong. I’ve never heard of anyone needing a transfluid unless your driving like a race car driver. No need for spark plugs unless your car is misfiring. 67k is not bad mileage I would wait for something to arise first

Well, I just ran the Carfax and it shows the plugs, air filters, cabin filters, transmission fluid, oil, coolant, battery, all changed at a Mercedes dealer from 3,000 to 10,000 miles ago.

that's pretty good! Maybe just do an oil change and consider the ABC fluid/filter. From my research, it's the only thing that may help prolong the life of the ABC components. Mine has been flushed 4 times at the dealer since new and is green. If yours isn't green, I'd change it. I changed my rear diff fluid at 85k because I wasn't sure if it had been done before. Pretty inexpensive service for peace of mind. My local independent MB mechanic did it for $70 with MB fluids.

I could not agree more on the ABC fluid and filter change. I just did mine at 72000 and the fluid was very dark grey green color. Once the change was done the fluid is bright green. There is a tool available from ALL GERMAN AUTO in Escondido Ca. (no affiliation, just a DIY tip for those interested) that allows anyone who can change the engine oil to service the ABC system oil. $$ well spent in my opinion, considering what some of the ABC components cost... The "new" filter from MB is a 3 micron...change when you do the oil. Essential to keeping that system alive.
