This looks fantastic!!! So is it a touchscreen only or can it be controlled with the Command controller? Since the screen is inside where the original screen was, it might be a little far to safely reach in while driving. It's not a deal breaker for me, but, just asking.

Congratulations & Good Luck
But does it support the original W221 vehicle menu ?? such as seat menu, Interior Ambient Light,Exterior Lighting Delayed , Automatic Locking, Convenience Settings . . . etc.
Is there any thing not supported or not working with it ???
Thanks.

Hey Chris,
in the youtube demo of the screen i saw that there is an option for an SD card. Is that seperate from the command usb/sd card reader and if so does it support a large card since the command does not work well with 32+ gb sd-cards or usb flash drives. Also what gps software comes with it ? Since it is android based can i just get any gps software i like and integrate it?
Thanks.

I have the unit which is external (as in tablet form) as its in a C207. The SD slot on that is part of the main unit behind the screen and I have a 32Gb card in it, someone else has put a 128Gb card in theirs. If this is in the same place, it would be behind the cover, so in the dash in this type of fitting. Mine has two USB connectors which will take 32Gb or bigger USB flash drives.
The GPS software that comes installed from Chris is copilot, although this did not work on mine with an error when launching. Never got a response when I asked what was needed to fix it (re-install it as its different to the Play store one) but not too much of an issue as I use Waze or Google Maps for online and Navigator for offline. You can change the navigation shortcut to whichever app you want. Its the only one of those icons you can change what app gets launched though. Video and Music are fixed to what they supply, although you can launch anything else you install from the apps folder.

Ok, so I have a custom font camera on my w221. When below 5 mph, it comes on automatically. Would this still work with this setup? It's hooked into the command plug, way below the display area, and it uses the same trigger that the reverse cams uses, to do the front cam.

Overall yes, still a couple of things I would like to see done differently in the firmware. Main one being that like many Chinese units they have blacklisted a lot of the OBD2 dongles meaning only the expensive ones work for things like the torque app. Would like to see that removed and save me having to root it an remove that restriction myself.
