No it isn't. Closest is Barolo Red which is much darker.
Checking the license plate/vin info, the original data card color for this 2012 car was 779 Diamond White so owner has had the car repainted. I love this color of Red seems like Mars Red. The car really makes a statement and is beautiful!

Yes, looks like Mars Red to me as well. I’m a big fan of red cars, but as much as I like this car, I don’t think I would ever pull the trigger on a big sedan in red, as I prefer my big sedan to be more elegant & sedate. I have a Mars Red SL550 and feel that the car looks magnificent in that color. So, of course, MB—in their ridiculous march to offering much of nothing short of “Fifty Shades of Black,” dropped Mars Red in 2017. Can you imagine? A sporting car like the SL and you can’t get a RED one? Oh, sure, they tell you “we have Designo Cardinal Red Metallic,” but to those of us who love a REAL “fire engine” red, the Cardinal color just doesn’t cut it. Anyway, I applaud the owner of this W221. It was a gutsy move to paint the car this color and IMO, I would say he hit a home run.

Speaking of MB red colors, can anyone tell me the difference between Mars Red and Jupiter Red? Here is a photo of Jupiter Red. They look the same to me.
