Can't find this part to save my life! A2218850416

I'm currently amassing the parts to repair a 2012 S550 4-Matic AMG sport package. It was in a front-end collision (front left corner clipped). No airbag pop, no intrusion to the engine bay (not even a touch to the bumper reinforcement bar.

What the collision DID do was take out the bumper cover/skin, the left headlight (photo shows car without the right headlight, but it's in the trunk for now), and after being spun into a curb at the end of the collision, damaged the power steering pump, aux water cooler, suspension compressor, and nicked into the bottom edges of the transmission cooler and AC condenser, all stuff that is below the bumper reinforcement.

On to my question. I've found everything I need except for part# A2218850416 which is the right-hand bracket/skeleton that sits inside the right end of the bumper cover/skin. The part number A2218850416 is stamped on the part itself on my damaged bumper, but Mercedes Benz says that this bracket actually comes as part of the bumper cover/skin when you buy it, even though it has its own part number. Every junkyard bumper cover/skin has been stripped of this part and Mercedes can't order it separately from the cover. I have no desire to spend $2000 to get what should be a $200 part.

I've attached an online photo of the part, and a photo of its orientation inside the bumper cover/skin.

Does anyone know where I might be able to get one? Even an aftermarket?

Thank you!

Try these guys: https://www.ebay.com/itm/253512600544
Ask them to remove it and sell it to you separately.
If they only speak German, let me know and i'll try to talk to them. (most Germans speak english).

Thanks. I've sent them a message. I sent an English message followed by a Google Translation to German. Thanks for the offer. What a pain with these parts. That's the only bumper cover that I've seen for sale that has those brackets still in it. I don't know where people are selling them all or doing with them. Or, perhaps they're always broken and unfit for sale.

The bumper cover which I'm assuming you have to replace can be bought for about $1,000. I recently purchased an AMG Sport Package bumper for a 2007 and paid less than $1,000 for it. Many dealerships have an online component which offers some pretty solid discounts.

Canadian price at the dealership is $1800 (about 1350 US dollars...we get hosed) +13% tax. We only have two dealerships in Ottawa and they ain't doing discounts, unfortunately.

Ideally, I'd find someone with a cracked or damaged bumper cover but with a brackets still intact, and who wanted to sell just those.

It's very likely they have an online presence and the prices online would be wholesale.

Your best bet is to find a complete used bumper in the US (try car-part.org and ebay) and have it shipped to Ogdensburg NY. Most of the parcel receving places there will charge you a small fee to receive and hold it for you. Then go down and grab it.

If you can get the seller to remove the part you need, even better because they can ship it to NY and you can have the receiver ship it to you so you don't need to go to NY

I don't think you'll find one without the entire bumper. I have seen quite a few parts like this before.. they have a part # but MB never sold it as a separate part.. the # was only used for identification of sub-parts or sub-assemblies. New or used, you end up buying the whole part.

You should be able to get a ripped/torn bumper cover pretty cheap. Try to get them to ship just the part because it will be way cheaper than shipping a bumper. Although Greyhound is pretty reasonable I hear for large parts like bumpers and engines.
