I've had good look calling or chatting online with tirerack.com for questions like this. The people that work really know their stuff when it comes to "special requests" like lowest noise etc. They've saved me a few times from making the wrong choice on something,

I've only had two sets on my car (purchased 18mos ago), the set that came with it that were CRAP, Sumitomo, holy crap were they bad and suffered tread separation with >40% tread left. The set on there now (staggered AMG appearance pkg) are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. Truly great tires, quiet, sticky, smooth and treadwear is exceptional for such a heavy car.

So far, I'm loving my KUMHO ECSTA PS91 tires on my S600. Super smooth and quiet. They look good too in staggered size. Only negative is they tramline pretty bad on older roads but that's more Michigan's fault than anything else. Oh, they were also very affordably priced
