Exclamation S550 not shifting

Hello everyone, I am new here. I buy and sell cars and bought a s550 for myself to keep however it was sold as is and after I bought it I noticed when shifting ex: P to D it is a hard shift that rocks the Benz, as well as while I drove it a little on the road the transmission would not shift out of 1st gear.
I drove it out the lot and kept it there for a few days while I read online and came to the conclusion that it just needed the TCM reset which I did and it drove PERFECTLY that whole day.

The next day I decided to just sell it as is in another auction and take the loss so I left it there and apparently what I found out was one of their workers left it in drive and turned it off then another person tried to turn it on and it obviously wouldn't turn on because its still in drive so they towed it from either the front or back not sure about 1/2 a mile to their other parking lot. I went to see why it didn't sell and it was because they wouldn't get it to turn on. When I got in and noticed its in drive, I put it in Park and tried to turn it on and it turned on with the only issue being the transmission shifting from p to d like before being very hard and you could feel the car move and also while driving the transmission would not shift out of 1st gear.

2007 S550 121k

The things I have tried to do is do the TCM reset over and over again and still does not fix it
Take out the batteries for 24 hour

Please offer your help if you are able to assist I really enjoyed driving it the period where it ran perfect and will keep this car for years to come.

So the car shifts fine when driving, once you get it in gear? If so, it could be the ICM, which is the electronic motor that moves the gear position. (P->D etc.) I have no clue how much the repair should cost, maybe some others would know. It also sounds like it could be the transmission conductor plate which is a common issue on the 722.9 transmission in these cars. That's a thousand and change repair that should be done at the dealer. You can look up both of these issues on our wonderful forum and find more in-depth explanations from people who are far more intelligent in this manner than I.

No unfortunately when it’s in D it does not shift out of 1st gear. I can drive it but the rpm will just keep increasing

That sounds like a Valve Body or conductor plate job to me. Pretty common on these cars unfortunately. Hopefully one of the regulars on the forum chip in with their advice.

Would that require the star MB tool to program it?

2716 The internal electrical check of component Y3/8y4 (K3 clutch control solenoid valve (VGS)) has failed.
2725 The internal electrical check of component Y3/8y6 (B2 brake control solenoid valve (VGS)) has failed.
0798 The internal electrical check of component Y3/8y7 (B3 brake control solenoid valve (VGS)) has failed.

Need to pull internal valve body to check solenoid mesh filters if fine, need to replace solenoids and re-adapt using MB STAR (diagnostics).

I was quoted $350 to get it fixed I just need to send in the part for repair, do you suggest that?
