Where is the oil drain plug
For the love of god, I cannot locate the oil drain bolt on this 2012 w221 4-matic!!
Would someone kindly give me a hand? I thought it would be a super simple activity.
Thanks,
V

The design intent is that you extract motor oil via the dipstick tube using vacuum. You can change the oil filter from the top with no need to get underneath and removing aero shielding, so why not do it all from the top?
In any event, you should know that it’s standard German practice that the sealing washer on a drain plug is not reusable and must be replaced with a new one whenever plug is removed.
