2008 S550 Glove Box 30 pin connector replacement
The 30 pin connector cable in the glovebox does not work and I'm trying to figure out how to replace it. Does anyone know how to get this done.
Thank you in advance, I've been googling this for two days and haven't been able to find instructions. The cable goes through the left side of the glove box into the dash.

That's some sorta aftermarket doohickey. You'd need to remove the COMAND module (the CD changer assembly) to get at where that damaged cable terminates at the other end. Not hard.

I tried using an iPod and also a Bluetooth adapter and they won't power up. I did found a post stating that the white connector on the cable won't work with newer devices because apple changed the charging voltage at some point. It said to switch the cable with part #B67824531A. I ordered one online and will update this post when I get it installed.

On the 2010+, there's a female 30 pin port in the top right of the glovebox and you had to get whatever MMI cable your device required from MB. So when the pin-outs changed on the IPhone 4 you just needed to swap the little cable vs pulling out COMAND.

On my 2007 CL it is called an "IPod integration kit" and it was made by Mercedes, it also came with a small instruction manual with Mercedes logo. I have attached a Bluetooth dongle to it to stream music from my I phone, works perfect.

That's good to know, thanks. My cable is in really bad shape so I'm hope that's the problem and not the module. New one should be here tomorrow.

Where the hell is the iPod integration module?
Where is the iPod integration module located? I’m trying to replace the cable that goes into the glove box since the head is screwed up but I can’t find where I’m supposed to disconnect the other end.
