W221 Sport mode problems

Hello everyone!
I just bought an Mercedes S350 cdi, 2009 facelift and after 24 hours the suspension is stuck in Sport mode and this code came up with no errors in the dashboard.
-5140 Left front solenoid valve 2 / Check component
Does anybody know something about this?
Thank you!

5140 check component Y51y2 (Left front solenoid valve 2) in assembly Y51 (left front axle damping valve unit). Internal valve, most likely strut needs replacement if high mileage vehicle both sides should be replaced. Consider aftermarket Arnott offering lifetime warranty: https://www.arnottindustries.com/

Thank you!
The battery was weak, so I changed it in this evening. After that, the problem has disappeared and everything works normally.
Is it possible that a bad battery can cause such problems?

The problem seems to have disappeared for only a few hours. In the next morning the problem returned

The problem is definitely your solenoid valve, and it is an integral part of the strut.. cannot be replaced separately.

As mentioned before, replace the strut. If the other strut isn't reasonably new (ie. you didn't install it in the last year or two) then replace both.

I had the same problem and replacing the strut is the solution. Also remember your other strut has a solenoid just as old, built in the same factory on the same day as the defective one. It isn't going to last much longer
