Hey guys, first time post. Wanted to share a few pics of my 2008 S550 4Matic. Coming up on 2 years now with the car with just above 50K on the clock. Refinished the OEM 19" wheels about a week ago as I was do for a tire change, along with 15mm spacers all around. Car was still sitting a little too high for me so I finally pulled the trigger on the lowering links. Ended up doing 7mm for front and 5mm for the rear adjustment. The overall goal was approx. 1" drop. Looks like we got it right on the first try, pretty happy with the outcome.

Are you doing a wheel alignment? I read after you do links its highly recommended. I have the links but held off cause I literally just did a wheel alignment 2 months ago and paid $125.. would be a waste put these links in and spend another $125..any thoughts on this?
Going to try to make an appt this Saturday for alignment. As far as your situation is concerned, having to spend that $125 is waiting for you one way or another. In essence, you aren't really "saving" anything per se. Whether you install now, or later, you will presumably do an alignment and pay for it accordingly. Your call really.

Hope that helps.
Rimola,
I used the wrong term when I said a "waste" of money. Simply put I think I can hold off on the links for a bit and get some use out of the brand new alignment I just got. Your car looks really good with it being lowered. Plus I have more pressing repairs/upgrades to do . Like painting the both quarter panels and rear bumper. Unfortunately one of the previous owners had these items painted and they look like they were painted with a spray can lol

Do you have air or ABC? Is the ride still nice or do you notice it got rough? It looks great at this ride height. I put links on my s600 and with a 1” drop in the front, the ride was aweful. I ended up with only about a half inch drop to keep a good ride. Maybe it’s because I have ABC. I did not do an alignment and have zero issues, but I don’t have it as low as yours.
