staggered 20" wheels on my 2011 s500 4 matic
I put staggered 20" wheels on my 2011 s500 4 matic 8.5 front and 9.5 rear but the rear rubs should I not put the 9.5s on or would a 19" staggered wheels not rub

The stock setup on my 2008 S550 is;
Front: 255/40-R19 on 19 x 8.5
Rear: 275/40-R19 on 19 x 9.5
The profile of the tire makes a difference as it is the percentage of the tread width. So if you increase the wheel size, you will likely need to reduce the profile.
Also, if you have tires on the 20" rims that are wider than stock then you may be in for some rubbing and not the good kind.
If you look at the tires/wheels on the S63/S65, they are lower profile (shorter sidewall) but the same width wheel and tire.
Front: 255/35-R20 on 20 x 8.5
Rear: 275/35-R20 on 20 x 9.5
Front: 255/40-R19 on 19 x 8.5
Rear: 275/40-R19 on 19 x 9.5
