Discount Gas
Hi all;
Just wondering if anyone out there uses "discount gas" as opposed to name brand such as Sunoco. My S550 has 133,000 miles and it seems to make no difference which brand of gas I buy. Am I hurting the car with discount gas?

I have a friend who works in the industry sampling fuels to make sure they are in compliance who says they are all the same... I have been using discount gas in my S600, Ferrari, etc for years. Do whatever makes you feel warm and fuzzy but Ill take the savings.

Discount gas
So I have been using discount gas premium grade in my V12 S 600 for about six months. Today, I got a Check engine Light. The codes were P0800 and P1170. My indie said the V12 is finicky about gas. He told me to buy a bottle (large size) of Techron the additive in Exxon/mobile gas. I did it and took it out on the freeway and opened it up. The light turned off. Since then I alternate between discount gas and brand name gas usually Sunoco supergrade but sometimes Mobile. No light since then.
