Anyone have recommendation on ECU repair?

Hey wondering if anyone out there has a recommendation for a reputable ECU repair place? I've got an issue with my ECU causing the engine to not restart once it reaches operating temp. You've got to wait about 2 hours until it cools down to start the car again. AES Modules quoted $260 with a lifetime warranty. Anyone have experience dealing with them?

All this places that claim to fix ecu's always end up doing more damage than anything. The only place I have used and had a BAD experience was http://www.mercedesecm.com/. They fixed an ecu for one of my customers and 4 months later it was back acting all crazy. They charged him like $800 and once we needed to do warranty they would always come up with some excuse about the warranty person not being there. We ended up buying a new/reman from dealer, which is what I always recommend. Where are you located?

Well that isn't encouraging to hear. I'm in Seattle. I found another place I believe in Indiana that said $220 for the service and it also has a lifetime warranty. I'd love a new or reman from a dealer but the cost is just so much more.

Youtube video of chap getting a second-hand ECU with matching model no. He unsolders the ePROM with security info (key match, etc.) from his dead unit and then solders it into the second hand unit and smiles as his diagnostic shows all the error codes have disappeared.
