Obd not reading

I have a 2008 s600 that’s in limp mode I try to connect several scanners to it including an expensive scan tool it would not read. The scanner powers on but wit not connect to car to read codes any idea what’s wrong ?

blown fuse for the diagnostic module

If you have power and ground at the OBD2 connector and no communication is available..... Then check your central gateway module.

The fact it is in limp home mode could be related. Have you disconnected the battery/batteries, reconnected and checked again?

Maybe your ecu is defective, it's not reading the vin, some scanners if they don't read vin the won't connect, do a manual vin entry then read modules one by one
