You simply replaced it with a cluster that's incompatible with your vehicle and data is missing so the check engine light. The cluster will need to be virginized and all data deleted then your vehicle's data programmed to it. Not a DIY type of repair per say.
You have to remove the data that has already been programmed into the device from the car it was removed from, and then using Daimler diagnostic equipment teach it in to your vehicle, synchronize mileage, and perform SCN coding.
If you do not have specific equipment to remove the programming already in place from the donor vehicle, it cannot be done. You can send it off to have it done and it would appear to the diagnostic equipment at the dealer as a new one, but you would need to find a dealer or independent that would SCN code it for you.
